Very simply, in mindfulness, we work to cultivate a focused awareness on the present moment, acknowledging and accepting our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and the surrounding environment without judgment and without seeking to change anything. Mindfulness involves intentionally directing attention to the present moment and cultivating an attitude of openness, curiosity, and non-reactivity.

 

Mindfulness is one of the most thoroughly investigated psychological interventions we have and its efficacy has been demonstrated in numerous clinical studies. HumanKind offer both group and 1 to 1 mindfulness instruction, with a mindfulness and MBCT teacher who has over 20 years experience.
