Clinical Supervisor and professional consultation with Lotte

I offer individual and group supervision for qualified Art Psychotherapists and students completing the MA in Art Psychotherapy. It is important that your supervision is supporting your supervision needs and I recommend to book a phone appointment or meeting to explore whether I can offer what you are looking for.

I have experience working long term with young adults with server mental health difficulties such as complex PTSD and Anxiety and Depression Disorders. I have also facilitated open Art Psychotherapy groups on medium to high secure mental health units in South London and Maudsley NHS Trust.

I have experience working with children age 5-18 with mental health difficulties, children who are adopted, children looked after and children with diagnoses of ADHD and/or ASC.

Recently I have completed  a two year training in psycho-sexual psychotherapy. My current work is focussed on adults and couples who experienced sexual trauma or relationship challenges.

Location: I offer clinical supervision online or from the Peckham Rye Clinic.

Clinical Supervision with Josephine

I am a registered clinical supervisor with BAAT (British Association of Art Therapists).

I aim to hold hope in supervision through reassurance of strengths and managing risk by providing vision and learning where there are blind spots or lack of knowledge.  I believe in the importance of structure, relationship, image and context of the client, as well as the culture within the organisation.

I am passionate about all learning and believe this to be a key component of supervision: discovering new policies, innovative practice, latest research and cutting edge art and culture to enhance multiple view points and develop an understanding, which ultimately contributes to a high quality of care for clients.

I believe the relationship is the most important aspect to therapy.  I aim to provide an inclusive service by creating an accessible therapy for all clients. I draw on a humanistic model for this. I use systemic theory to understand the context around the client.  In terms of art psychotherapy, I draw upon different theoretical underpinnings: psychodynamic - to see how the client relates to the art object and to reflect on their inner world; mindfulness - to use art-making as a way of drawing attention to the present moment; mentalisation - to enhance client's skills to understand and pay attention to their own feelings, thinking about how their feelings change through making and looking.

Clinical supervision online is charged at £65
Josephine also offers face to face supervision in Stroud
