Psychotherapist

Holly Smelt

My practice is non-pathologising, trauma informed, collaborative and creative. I consciously create a containing and non-judgemental space for the people I work with, building trust over time. I believe that safety in the therapeutic relationship is paramount in allowing someone to begin unravelling, processing and embracing all parts of themselves. There is limited space in our world where others can sit alongside us in a meaningful way, so I continuously aim to do this for my clients. I commit to being alongside in the discomfort, complexity and messiness of existence while marking moments of connection and sparks of joy.

The therapy I provide is client-led, meaning we will always work at your pace. I offer creative and embodied tools to help deepen self-expression and understanding, but this will always be tailored to your needs. My approach uses attachment-based theory as a baseline and considers how trauma impacts the nervous system and neurology.

I am committed to ensuring my practice is anti-oppressive and am dedicated to decolonising my practice through continued reading, learning (and unlearning), attending training, workshops and conferences, and regular supervision.

Fee : £70 per session. 15 min free phone consultation.
