Matt Lewis
Gestalt Psychotherapist

Seeking therapy can be a daunting and confusing experience. It can feel shameful to be in touch with your vulnerabilities, or that you need to reach out for help in the first place. My first aim is to provide you with a supportive, grounding and validating space, where we can look together at your past experiences and explore how they may be manifesting in your everyday life.
I have experience working with a wide range of issues, including (but not limited to):
- Depression
- Suicide
- Anxiety
- Loneliness
- Relationship difficulties
- Trauma
- LGBTQ+
- Men’s mental health
Drawing from my background as a technician in the creative arts, I understand therapy as a collaborative journey. As a gestaltist, I don’t ‘direct’ that journey to a predetermined destination, but instead, allow that destination to emerge through the work we do, and as our working relationship develops.
I am committed to providing an empathetic therapy experience for people from all backgrounds regardless of your cultural background, gender, sexual identity, spiritual
beliefs.
I am a fully qualified Gestalt psychotherapist (MA) and am working towards final accreditation with the UKCP.
